Dear followers, the purpose of the event was to raise public awareness about proper waste management, promote waste sorting habits, and encourage environmentally responsible behavior. The festival was organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, with the support of the Nizami District Executive Authority and the “Araz” supermarket chain, and took place at 5 Tofiq Abbasov Street, Nizami District, Baku.
As part of the event, participants handed over plastic bottles totaling 6,585 liters, 562 liters of glass waste, and 1,026 used batteries for recycling.
It should be noted that throughout 2025, citizens handed over 5,705 liters of glass waste, 38,100 liters of plastic waste, and 7,295 used batteries. In return, participants received “Araz” eco-bags, “Tac” and “Bloom” products, as well as various gifts.
