More than two thousand employees of "Araz" supermarket chain were involved in the training

The "Araz" supermarket chain, which is part of the Veysaloglu Group of Companies (VSG), provides Azerbaijani consumers with high-quality and reasonably priced food and non-food products, and also makes important contributions to the country's economy by training professional personnel and forming human capital. Thus, more than 9,000 people were provided with jobs in the "Araz" supermarket chain. In order to improve the professional indicators of the employees in question, they are regularly involved in trainings, internship programs and courses. In the first 8 months of 2023, more than 2,000 "Araz" supermarket chain employees were trained.

"Teach what you have learned" in "Araz"

According to Zaur Mammadli, head of the Talent Management and Development Department of the Human Resources Department of "Araz", the trainings are conducted by executives and trainers with extensive experience in the field of their activity, as well as local and foreign specialists recruited from companies specialized in this field: "Internal trainings It is carried out on various topics within the framework of the "Teach what you have learned" project. This list includes "V - Market management program", "Quality and food safety assurance during goods reception", "Practical category and efficiency management", "Product expiration date", "Qualified fruit and vegetable identification and proper shelf stacking procedure" ", "HSE rules", "The importance of human resources planning" exercises can be shown."

Support from professional local and foreign trainers

In addition to internal training, "Araz" employees regularly participate in the training of professional local and foreign specialists held by specialized companies. They include "Category management training - Nielsen IQ", "Assortment segmentation - Cluster, Segment (good-better-best) training", "Customer decision tree and category planogram design", "Competency-based interview techniques", "Business for Retail and financial analysis", "Supply chain management", "ISO 9001 - Internal audit", "ISO 31000 - ISO 9001" trainings can be given as an example.

Regular trainings are also held for the purpose of adaptation and orientation of newly hired employees in "Araz" supermarket chain. During the months of April-July 2023, more than 1,200 of the more than 2,000 newly hired employees of "Araz" benefited from these trainings.
