Rashad Garayev

He graduated from his bachelor’s level in Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev on the specialty of “Special Operations Command”, also English translator-referent, master’s level in the Military Administration Institute of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the specialty of “Fundamentals of Strategic Researches and State Defense, participated 1 year “Higher Leadership” (SLC) course in the field of defense in Baltic Defence College of Estonia.

He served in the ranks of Army as officer during 2000-2018 and he was awarded to different orders and medals, also the Medal “For Distinction in Military Service” under decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2011.

He worked in different positions in military and civil operations in the countries such as Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan, as representative in headquarters of NATO, also as supervisor in the composition of the United Nations contingent. He participated in trainings and course in several countries.

Rashad Garayev joined to the team of Araz Supermarket LLC in 2020, worked as head of Security Department, Head of Support, Technical Works and Security Department (2022-2023) and Head of Business Support Department (2023-2024). He was appointed to the position of Director of Security and Internal Control on February 2024.

Rashad Garayev is the graduate of 1-year training program organized by KOBIA and German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, International Cooperation Society (GIZ).

He knows English, Russian and Serbian languages.
