The first training program of “Araz Academy,” established under the “Araz” supermarket chain, has successfully graduated its initial group of students specializing in Store Management.
The main goal of the Store Management program is to ensure the professional development of employees aiming for career advancement, while also building a reserve pool of management staff for the stores. Selected participants – including sales associates, cashiers, administrators, and goods receivers – undergo a comprehensive training program to prepare for positions such as senior cashier, senior sales associate, administrator, and store manager. Overall, the Academy is designed to contribute to the training of professional retail personnel in the country and strengthen human capital. One of its unique features is the involvement of second-generation trainers – professionals who have built their careers within the company, possess deep knowledge of the business, and now share their skills and expertise in preparing a new generation of leaders in line with international standards.
The first groups of the Store Manager track began their training in April this year. The program, consisting of both theoretical and practical modules, was successfully completed by 28 employees.
The diplomas for the first graduates of the program were presented by Mr. Aydın Talıbov, Founder of the Veysəloğlu Group of Companies (VŞQ).
At the graduation ceremony, Mr. Rəşad İbrahimov, Chairman of the Board of the “Araz” supermarket chain, Mr. Pərviz Qasımov, Director of Human Resources and Business Support, and Mr. Anar Sənani, Head of the HR Department, spoke about the Academy’s successful activities, its future goals, and the expected achievements in retail sector talent development.
It should be noted that “Araz Academy” was established in 2025 under the “Araz” supermarket chain.
